Rebirth

2014: Tangled woody form springs to life in a new cloak of blossom; an unexceptional tree turned magical by the first blooms of the year. A very simple, compelling sight on one of my walks inspired this piece, which also mirrored – and amplified – the feeling of circumstantial rebirth that I was experiencing at the time, as Spring often does.
