Self-portrait with my dog

2015: Self-portraiture can be a rite of passage for any artist. This portrait of me and my beloved Rhodesian ridgeback Rudi resulted from a time of deep introspection as I noodled with what wanted to be included in it. Over time, it came to reveal a whole series of symbols that wanted to be included – a total of 33 symbols in total – serving as clues back to myself during a time of deep-healing.
